Schedule

Whilst our courses are essentially flexible to meet individual and personal needs, we do follow a general structure for students who require it . For example, the following shows typical seven or ten day plan which frequently changes according to student demand:

SEVEN DAY COURSE

Day 1: Students arrive afternoon onwards. Introduction to the course and the atelier, evening meal at the atelier.

Day 2: Am – Identifying individual students areas of interest. Initial group workshop in drawing – ‘Ways of Seeing’. Pm-  Information gathering in the local environment ie. studio, village, landscape etc. Possible location visit.

Day 3:  Am & Pm - Optional workshops - ‘Ways of Seeing’ – Exploring Colour/Printmaking – introduction to Drypoint. Working  from resources gathered both in studio and on location.

Day 4: Am – Continuation of previous workshops covering specific process. Pm – Development of ideas

Day 5: Day free – Students are able to take advantage of art galleries in Albi or Toulouse, or may continue with their work if preferred.

Day 6: Further development of ideas/ exploration of various processes available.

Day 7: Further development/realisation of ideas in chosen media.

Day 8: End of session discussion and celebration of the weeks work. Farewells and vacation of rooms by midday.

TEN DAY COURSE

The ten day option provides a greater opportunity for those who want to take full advantage of the studio, its facilities and workshops on offer to focus on their own areas of interest, and to be able to consolidate ideas and approach over a longer period of studio time.
