Atelier Montmiral is ON THE MOVE!! After eight fantastic years at Atelier Montmiral we will now no longer be running courses at this location and we are now looking for a new premises in Kent UK. In the meantime we are able to offer one course in 2013 in collaboration with Olivier Art which will run from Sept 3rd – Sept 11th. Olivier Art is not very far from our original location in Castelnau de Montmiral. They too run excellent courses from a glorious location. They are situated near Lavaur and Revel (45 mins from Toulouse) in a small hamlet surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside. We do hope you will be able to join us there. If you would like more details, please check out our Combined Media Course which will be experimenting and exploring imagery through drawing painting and printmaking at Olivier Art. Mick and Bunny Newth are both established artists and professional tutors with over 30 years experience in Further and Higher Art Education in UK and abroad. Together they offer full time daily tuition and individual guidance to their art students making each course a unique learning experience for artists at all levels. Atelier Montmiral has attracted students worldwide with a broad range of creative backgrounds including: those that wish to rediscover their creativity; foundation, graduate and post-graduate students in search of more stimulating working environments; art teachers and lecturers needing personal time to refocus; amateur artists who wish to learn new skills; and of course complete beginners who simply wish to learn about making art. Whether you’re looking for a creative holiday, relaxing art break, an introduction to painting and/or printmaking or an advanced specialist workshop. We provide flexible and inspirational art courses designed to meet your individual needs. Testimonials “It was just about the best holiday I’ve ever had. The whole village and the surrounding landscape was just beautiful. A perfect setting for an art course, we couldn’t have asked for a better location. The school was really well equipped and the gite Suzanne and I stayed in was fine and only a few minutes walk away, which actually made it nicer to start and end our days with a walk through the village. Lovely! Mick and Bunny were not only two obviously very talented artists but were also incredibly patient tutors and amazing chefs too!! What a welcoming couple. They couldn’t have been more informative and helpful about everything. We both learnt loads from them and the other students. I’ve warned them that we will be going back! ” Kay – Civil Servant – Intermediate 2009
“I hope that the remaining guests managed to achieve the same sense of personal achievment as I did. Of course I know that there is nothing magic about the hard work that you both put into making everything run so smoothly and your attention to the smallest detail contributes significantly to the overall success of the whole experience. You are both excellent teachers and I envy the way in which you seem to complement one another when giving support and advice. Every aspect of the week was excellent and I return home energised and more confident about my ability to return to my own work.” Jenny – Art Lecturer – Advanced 2009
